Menu Plan Monday~May 7

I am very excited to report to you that last week I followed my menu to a T! I know that is ground breaking news! I can't say enough how much MPM has changed my cooking life. I plan out my menu over the weekend, usually shop Saturday afternoon with a list of just the items on my menu, and then my week is set. I love the ease of sticking with a menu and I also really like being able to see what variation I am providing weekly for my family. It you don't do the MPM I highly recommend heading over to Laura's blog and signing up. The best part about signing up and participating in the meme is finding other recipes and meals people are making that you hadn't thought of before. Sometimes in our little corners of the world we get into a food rut, I know I have.

Here's what's cooking in our home this week...

Monday
Foil-pack chicken & mushroom dinner
broccoli

Tuesday
stromboli

Wednesday
crock pot bbq chicken
scalloped potatoes
fresh green beans

Thursday
steak
baked potatoes
corn on the cob

Friday-Sunday
going to Dallas, TX

Don't forget that Tuesday is the second Time Travel Tuesday and we will be remembering our "sweet 16." I hope you'll come back and play along. I had so much fun learning about you at 12.

Hi Annie,
Stromboli is not something I've ever made before but it sounds delicious!
By the way I love your new look!

I don't think I'm organized enough, or motivated enough, to do a weekly menu! I tried once or twice before and just didn't stick with it...but maybe I should try again :)

Stromboli sounds great!! I would love to try that! I'm going to do MPM one day when my girls and I aren't having to travel so much during the week! Your menu always looks so great!!

I have been trying to remember what I did for my Sweet 16... sad, because it was only 9 yrs ago! I should remember! I'll have to ask my family! I definitely want to play along! BTW the chicken pockets were yummy! The family loved them! :)

Sounds good! We didn't follow our's very well last week. We buy for only a week at a time, too. I think we save so much money (and time) doing it that way. I can't wait to see my wife's menu.

Thanks for your sweet comment to my site. I love how your blog looks. I've been tempted to hire Bluebird Blogs for some help myself, since I'm really getting into this! You're recipes looks terrific. Hopefully I'll follow mine. Blessings on your day.

We love stromboli around here! We haven't had it in a little while so maybe I'll do that next week! I'm looking forward to participating in Time Travel Tuesday, if I can remember what was going on in my life at various ages! LOL!

Yum yum yum..
that Stromboli sounds good. I have never made it before but I make something that sounds sort of close to it with frozen bread dough and pepperonis and cheese I call them pizza rolls but I divide the bread dough and make like 5 or 6 rolls out of one loaf.. I'm going to give the Stromboli a try soon.

Super true about the MPM for me too! I have really learned to provide better meals to my family! AND it makes me accountable to what to fix every night! I stick with it each night! I am proud of myself for this! I think your week looks scrumptious! have fun in TX and thanks for stopping by!
