Izzy's Hips...

I took Izzy for the botox injections yesterday morning. We took the x-rays to the doctor who did the botox procedure. He said just about what I expected to hear. Her hips have begun to migrate out of socket significantly. He referred us to a orthopedic surgeon to get a procedure done that would release (or cut) certain tendons that are pulling her legs together and as a result pulling the hips out of socket. We had a family meeting last night that ended in a chain prayer and we have decided to spend the next couple of months to devote ourselves to prayer for Izzy's hips and also to therapies aimed at helping the situation. We will then have x-rays taken again and make a decision at that time. Please join us in prayer during this time for Izzy's hips.

"I also tell you this: If two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you." Matthew 18:19

Annie,
I'm sorry the news wasn't better, but as we know God is the ultimate healer and I will definitely be lifting Izzy in prayer and especially for healing in her hips. So did you go ahead with the botox or has that been put off as well? Does the migration in her hips cause her any discomfort?
I will be praying not only for Izzy but your family as well.

Matthew 21: 21) Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done. 22)If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."

We did do the botox injections. He also did phenol injections in those nerves to help temporarily with the pulling. I am not sure about discomfort. She doesn't seem to be in pain, but I don't know for sure. The doctor did not think she was in pain from the hip migration. Thanks for the prayers!

Izzy and your family are a constant in my nightly prayers. I will say some extra prayers for her hip.

I know your decision was a tough one but I think you made a smart choice. I'm so glad your family came together on this and has so much faith. (((HUGS)))

Hi Annie -
I came here to find a slow cooker recipe I saw linked at Sandra's blog - and feel like I got to know you better. Best wishes with the orthopedic surgeon. You are so brave to share so much of yourself here - I am an open soul as well - people are blessed by it. Helps the rest of us know that the human experience is similar for us all. There are struggles - and holding onto the Lord is the only way to get us through it.
Thanks for sharing.
