Menu Plan Monday

I followed my menu pretty well last week, the only thing I didn't get to was San Fransisco pork because I was watching for rump roast to be on sale to try the 'to die for' pot roast I listed on slow cooker Thursday and I found it for $2.59/lb...so I cooked two in the crockpot. It was really good! Definitely a keeper. I'm using some recipes from my fellow bloggers again this week, it is so much fun to try these new recipes. I tried this empanada recipe Saturday night because I was in a hurry and remembered seeing and bookmarking it. Wow, it was so good and fast too. I didn't have the processed cheese for the cheese sauce it said to make, so I just added cheddar, american, cream and salsa. I would make this cheese sauce again for chips too, soooo good! That will become a quick fix around here I'm sure.
I worked on Izzy's blog yesterday, worked on the template etc. I downloaded a program to use and messed with the html code more than usual. It was fun, I am not going to tackle mine for a few days... I can't wait until it's my turn with Susie (bluebird blogs)... there is a waiting list right now that is pretty long.
Monday:
broccoli
garlic bread
Tuesday: "Emelia's 9th Birthday"
corn on the cob
rolls
birthday cake!
Wednesday:
burgers & chips!
Thursday:
rice
green beans
Friday:
broccoli
spanish rice

When you make the chicken spaghetti, remember to cut back on the vermicelli and add extra cheese. This is my opinion, but I think it's better when it's creamier! Have a great day!

Oh Annie! I'm loving your changes! Looks so cute!

Your menu this week sounds good. I'm not making a menu this week since we're so sick. I had wanted to make Jenna's Chicken Spaghetti this week, too. Maybe I'll fix it at teh very end of the week. Enjoy!

A great week of recipes!! Going to have to try a few. With our crazy schedule, I've been in a slump. LOL!
Love the new"er" blog! What program did you use? may I ask?

Also -- I was told to use the Lindberg (sp) brand of brown rice. Its long. I picked some up this weekend as I had been using another brand. My kids balk at the wheat bread too ... we currently give them the Sara Lee Smooth one??? soft and smooth I think? Good stuff.

Looks very good. I want to try that Slow Cooker Chicken Curry (I love utilizing the Crockpot). Thanks for stopping by my blog and I'll check out your other one as well. Your daughter's in our prayers.

I've got a GREAT idea! How bout you make my menu for me (with only super easy, super fast recipes) and email it to me so I can pot it on my blog. I am too tired to cook, too tired to think, too tired to eat. My body is protesting any movement and my family still insists on eating.
Thanks
I appreciate it

Oh, one more thing, Cheerful and I have decided, after looking at yours and Izzy's blogs, that we are blog underachievers. You will have to teach me how to make my blog pretty like yours. I am clueless when it comes to that stuff.

love u

Your menu looks great again. We're having the "to die for Pot Roast" this week...and I'm sure it will be another hit.
I've filed the empanadas away for my next planning session...looks yummy and easy, my favorite kind of meal ;)
Have a great week!

Wow, that all looks so good! I love making chicken soft tacos, so I might have to try the lime one sometime. You know, this is weird - I've made chicken spaghetti for years with Velveeta, very similar to the link you posted from Southern Living magazine. I saw your recipe for Crockpot Chicken Spaghetti a few weeks ago, and I've got it tenatively setup for my menu this week! Weird, huh?! :)

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful week!!!
