Friday's Feast #135

Appetizer
Name two things that made you smile this week...
Driving up and seeing the pretty purple and yellow pansies I just
planted

&
Good reports today from Izzy's therapist on her walking in the
walkable... they said that she did a great job today! That's always worth
a smile!

Soup
Fill in the blank...
Don't you hate it when ______________?
You get into the drive thru lane at the bank that is the slowest,
almost every time!!!

Salad
When you can't go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself
drift into lullabyeland?
I pray until I drift off, works like a charm to give it all to
God!

Main Course
What is something about which you've always wondered but have not yet found
a good answer?
"Why do they sell weiners in packs of 10, but buns in packs of
8?"

Dessert
What is your favorite pasta dish?
It's a tie between good fettucini alfredo with grilled chicken
& John's pasta with greek olives, sun dried tomatoes penne pasta, lots of garlic and artichoke hearts... YUMMO!

I've wondered about your main course myself. :v)

Your John's pasta is making my mouth water. Dare I ask that he shares the recipe sometime?

I want a big plate of John's pasta - sounds delish!
And I have been wondering about the bun-weiner thing for years now!
Thanks for visiting.

You know I've always wonder about the hot dog and bun situation too!

The hotdog/bun predicament is one that has haunted our lives for ages :) One of my favorite movie scenes ever is in 'Father of the Bride' when Steve Martin is in the grocery store "removing the superfluous buns!"

Ever been to a BBQ and had your kids hotdog sausage slide out of the bun and into the dirt before they had even taken a bite - we were howling down the park, until someone gave one of the left-overs.

Your prayers must be very boring that you fall asleep, lol !

Ah... the age old hot dog-bun question. Did you see the Father of the Bride remake with Steve Martin? The one where he goest to jail after freaking out in the store over that same issue? love that part.

Great Feast!
Your main course is good. I think it so you have to buy 5 packages of hot dogs and 4 bags of buns just to make them match. Or they want you to do a cook out and invite the neighborhoood?
Your dessert sounds yummy.
My feast is up.

John's pasta sounds wonderful. I've been craving pasta for the last few days...if I lived near you all I'd request it! lol!!

I use your "salad" remedy, too! Somehow it's easy to fall asleep, then... :)

Great feast, you dessert made me hungry..
We always end up with more buns then hotdogs in my house. 3 of the 4 kids would rather have there hotdogs without buns.. :)

happy friday

Oh I love pansies! I can't wait to go get baby plants for my garden!

Way to go, Izzy! One step at a time! It's amazing how those little steps add up.

John sounds like quite a cook! Mmmm olives and garlic!

Delightful feast. I concur with the bank deal. Must be a Murphy's law. Yummo? You have to be a Rachael Ray fan like myself. :o)

A very good question about the hot dogs and the hot dog buns.
