The trees are so bad out here, too! It's really hard to see so much destruction! I'm thankful that we all survived and that we were without power for only three days - unlike your 7! I'm glad you're "powered" again!

We've had some ice here too, but not nearly the damage! So sorry for that! I hope things settle down for Christmas.

So happy you have your power back on and your water working again. I can imagine the excitement of being able to keep your laundry caught up. That is a necessity of life!

Life should be more simple now.

You know what? I'm just so glad that it was the trampoline that was demolished and not your truck! Thank goodness that the ice will melt, and tree limbs can be picked up and burned or hauled off. I'm very thankful that your electricity is back on and you can live normally ;)

You had come to my thoughts immediately and I had wondered how you were and were fairing. What a deal. We had our son and 2 grandchildren with us until Saturday. ALL of our kids lots power but one had a generator and the other a fireplace and made do.

Y'all have been through it haven't you Annie! Looks like quite the storm...I can sorta feel your pain, we had an ice storm about 10 or so years ago and I think I have pictures that look almost exactly like yours! It is something else indeed when those things happen. Hope everything is getting back to normal for you.

You know, it really is beautiful and peaceful to me after everything freezes, but it ALWAYS causes damage. Good luck with getting everything back in order. I'm glad your family is safe:)

Unbelievable, Annie. You know, two years before we moved to the western side of Colorado, we went through an ice storm like this. No power for days and I remember laying awake all night listening to what sounded like gun shots but was actually huge tree limbs snapping all over town.

The damage was unbelievable and it took weeks for the town to recover. There were literally mountains of tree limbs stacked up all over town.

I'm glad things are getting at least a little more normal. Having power helps. A Lot!
