crash

Well... Amanda was in a car crash yesterday during lunch hour.  She rode with a friend to get Braums for lunch and on the way back they were stopped with turn signal on turning into friend's addition to get her basketball stuff and a car load of boys plowed into the back of her car.  They were hit pretty hard.  All the things in the back seat hit the front windshield.  The car that hit them was completely totalled, we don't know yet if the friend's new mustang is totalled or not.  It's being checked today.  Amanda came home from school with a sore neck.  I took her by our chiropractor and he said she has pretty bad whiplash.  She is getting x-rayed today.  She is in school today, she didn't want to miss trig and she gets the robot baby today for the weekend.  Just wanted to let ya'll know ...
Hope your Thursday is blessed.  I feel so thankful that the injuries were not worse.

I'm so sorry to hear about this, but glad she's okay. As parents of teens, it's what we all dread, but I'm glad it wasn't more serious.

happy to hear she is ok...how did the rest of the kids fare?

Oh, Annie! I'm so glad it wasn't too serious! God was watching out for them...such a blessing. Lauren and Ted got rear-ended once while waiting at a red light. She also got whiplash, but she healed quickly with the help of an excellent doctor. I hope Amanda will heal quickly too, and that the other kids involved are okay.

What a relief that the injuries weren't any more seious than they were. That is so scary...every morning when I kiss the boys goodbye and tell them to "drive carefully", I feel a jolt of fear about them driving around at all. I think it ought to be harder to get a driver's license, I mean really! They were talking this morning on one of the morning shows about how parents should be thinking more about safety than cost when helping their teen choose a car (and I do agree with that), but unfortunately, the safest cars are also the most expensive ones. And no matter how much you may want to, sometimes you just don't have the money to buy your kids a tank to drive around in, you know what I mean?
Anyways...can't believe I've rambled so when what I really wanted to say was how glad I am that Amanda is able to go to school today after having been through that! And I'm glad the cars involved were good enough to protect the passengers from serious harm. Whew! (I sure can take a long time to spit something out, huh?)lol

I'm glad she wasn't hurt any more, either! Gotta hate a mustang being totalled, or almost totalled. :(
I missed the robot baby thing-what's up?

I am so relieved to hear that she is OK. That would be quite a fright for any Mum indeed. I pray that any trace of whiplash quickly goes away and she doesn't have any problems with it.

Smart mom- taking her to the chiropractor right away. That's the first place I go, too.

So glad she wasn't hurt really bad. She must have guardian angels.

I hope everything is ok with Amandas neck! Prayers for her.

I had the robot baby in H.S. too! Actually I'll never forget having it because I got it the day after 9/11.

I remember having to hold it while watching stuff about the twin towers on t.v.

Glad Amanda's okay! I always worry about Chance leaving at lunch because it seems like every year there's a bad accident during lunch time! I hope she's not too sore today!
