Christmas Spirit

Amanda (Oh Amanda) is hosting an oh so fun "oh oh oh" Christmas carnival/giveaway/fun thing over at her place and this week Christmas spirit is on the menu.  She has directed us to blog about what puts us in the Christmas spirit.

That's pretty simple Amanda!

Let's see...

Cooler weather

Christmas music

Christmas lights

Red turtleneck sweaters

Funny Christmas socks

Day after Thanksgiving shopping trips!

There are a few things that put me in the mood for the holidays.  Several of these have been delivered already.  It's really cold here!

I spent the day shopping with mom.  It was CRAZY out there.  The parking was insane.  The lines were ridiculous.  The people were frantic.  What fun, right?
We ate lunch at Cheesecake factory and I was too full from yesterday to even eat my cheesecake (brownie bottom, cheesecake with hot fudge and whipped white choc. mousse)  So, if you'll excuse me ... I think I'll go have it for dinner :o)!

I hope you had a great day too!

Good Friday afternoon to you, Annie !

I'd agree with ALL of those - except for shopping ! It'll be crazy out there until the forst week in January, I think !

And add the smell of pine and cinnamon and other scents in the holiday candles !

Cheescake Factory is the best !

Hope you have a good weekend,
Loving Annie

I love that I am learning more about your life there Annie. I didn't realise Thanksgiving was held on a Thursday, or that Friday was a holiday - I think it's great, a wonderful get together time for family to give thanks.

We went shopping today too! Got up @ 5am to do it too! It was crazy, but I got some great deals!

Glad you had fun, hope your cheesecake dinner was tasty!

No black Friday here in Canada. We're only about an hour from the U.S. border, and even though the dollar is pretty good right now, I wasn't about to go down to shop. (The lines coming back across the border wouldn't be worth it--not to mention the lines in the store.

I can't believe you left the Cheesecake until the next day--it wouldn't have mattered how stuffed I was, I would have eaten it ; )

We waited until after lunch to get out in the traffic and did manage to do a little bit of shopping. It was not bad but the traffic was heavy.

I am still full from all the turkey I ate. I had my pumpkin pie for breakfast this morning! LOL!

Hi Annie - I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I don't mind the after Thanksgiving shopping once I get a parking place. We drove around for 20 min. at some outlet malls in N. Georgia on Friday. I am a wreck by the time we get parked. ha! The cheesecake sounds divine!

I'm in the Christmas spirit...we've finally had two days of cooler weather, and our Christmas lights are all up! :)

Yay, you had yummy cheesecake with NO FRUIT! ;)

Thank you SO MUCH for the wonderful Good Mail! It made me happy...the card is so sparkly and pretty, and I annihilated the Almond Roca in minutes! I don't think I ever told you, but it's one of my very favorite candies! :)

All those get me in the spirit, too! I thought of you this past weekend when I passed a Panera Bread. Couldn't ask dh to stop, though. We were almost to the beach, and we had a date with the tv: our msu bulldogs were playing ;)
