Friday's Feast~

Appetizer
What are you proud of?

My children. Wow, they are all so different. I often say that I am the same mom to all of them but they are so unique. Amanda is an overachiever, she is caring, loving, and shy. Bailey is sweet to the core, smart, persistent and determined. Emelia is prissy, full of common sense, mature, and funny. Izzy is strong, she is a little fighter in every sense of the word and she is smart and beautiful. They all make me proud, even when they are not perfect... It makes me think of God's love for me.

Soup
What is the best thing you’ve ever won as a prize?

A chocolate bunny. At our church when I was a little girl, there was a yearly Easter egg hunt. I always seemed to win the prize bunny for gathering the most eggs. This particular year, my mother told me I should probably let someone else win so I didn't find many eggs on purpose. After the hunt they awarded the chocolate bunny to the child with the most eggs, but also awarded another bigger chocolate bunny to the child with the least eggs... which was ME!

Salad
Name something you do that is a waste of time.

Watch tv. I know this, I know it is based on commercials to sell products and also food products that are unhealthy. It is a distraction and sometimes that is what I want... but it sure is a waste of time.

Main Course
In what year of your life did you change the most?

2004. Izzy's accident has changed me more than marriage or childbirth. I am a different person today than I was three years ago. My faith has grown, and changed. My relationship with God has grown from a religion based on Him to a relationship with Him.

Dessert
Where is a place you consider to be very tranquil?

The most tranquil place I can think of is my bedroom. I have been away from home and the scenery was so beautiful and I have thought to myself, "take a mental picture of this so you can draw on it in the future." But, I believe tranquility is a state of mind and I find the most peace when I am home.

Annie,
Great feast! As a mom, I know exactly what you mean about the uniqueness of each child! Mine - all four - are similar in so many ways and yet very different! My greatest hope is that each one will develop a relationship with God and live each day for Him! It's so amazing the way God allows things to happen and in so doing allows change and cultivates growth in our faith and dedication to Him! Thanks for sharing your great pics!

That was funny about the bunny. :) You have a lovely family. I agree, tranquility is more about the state of our minds and hearts than location.

I loved your feast! Your soup made me laugh, your main course made me tear up (and from your words I can understand how this is even more than marriage and childbirth), and your salad made me cringe---cause it's true.

Lovely family, and my heart skipped when you talked about Izzy's accident. I really don't watch TV for just those reasons. If I need an escape, I'll bury myself in a book.

Thanks for stopping by my FF!

Great feast Annie! What a beautiful picture of your children :)

Funny about the bunny. I wouldn't look for too many eggs if I thought I might get the biggest chocolate bunny, LOL!

Have a great day!

Sweet kids. I was really tested too with my two little boys. My first had hydrocephalus and had to have surgery and my second was failure to thrive. All the tests, doctor visits and hospital stays really tested my faith. God has used these events to mold me into the person I am.

In our apartment when we got married, the AC was only in the bedroom. Now THAT was a place of tranquility!

Great feast. Thanks.
