wordy wednesday

Christmas has exploded in my home, it's official! Well, it didn't help that I unloaded all ten boxes of Christmas decorations from the attic at once... but, the tree is up and trimmed, the den and dining room windows are dressed, and the light fixture is festive! I would say that I am about 1/3 finished. I am hoping to increase that percentage to at least 1/2 by the end of today. I always kinda dread unloading the Christmas stuff, but once it is out it sure is pretty! Don't Christmas lights just make you feel cozy? They do me! I rearranged the furniture in the den and then arranged things many times before deciding how to keep the tree. I usually set it up in the corner of the den but Izzy's stuff is busting out of that area and I am running out of places to tuck things. Especially BIG things like standers and walkers and strollers (0h my!). I guess I could clutter up the front room aka therapy room, but it is the first room you see when visiting my home so I like to keep it clutter free.

I'm hoping to have picture posting capabilities before long and I'll post pics of the tree and stuff! (I'm still planning to post pics of robot baby).

Izzy has been a little gunky this week. She is stuffy and coughing. I am hoping she will feel like going to school today!

Happy Wednesday!

Hope Izzy gets to feeling better. I've got the tree up but it's not decorated. We are on a mission to find UT orange balls to decorate it! LOL! I do have a few other things up but I need to get the rest of our stuff out and up! Can't wait to see pics of what you've done.

Looking forward to seeing pictures soon! I love my Christmas decorations, but you kind of dread starting the decorating process. When I came home from grocery shopping on Saturday I discovered my beloved men had taken down my 14 crates of Christmas stuff while looking for all the outdoor lights and stuff. Guess what I will be doing this weekend!?
*smiles and cozy Christmas light wishes to you today!*

Can't wait to see the photos, I already have my tree up and decorations, just need to do the outside this weekend ;)

I agree with you, something about christmas lights that just warms my heart.

Hope Izzy feels better soon, I still have that horrible cold and it's frustrating so I hope she doesn't have to go through it too.

Hugs,
Sandra

Since we're finally home for a decent length of time, we're pulling most of the decorations out today. Still have to get the tree-will do that on Friday.
I'm with you. I love the coziness of the decorations, I just hate doing the work to get there :)
Hope Izzy is feeling better and no one else catches that stuffiness from her. I don't like colds!

I love Christmas lights, too. I'm boring--most of the time my decorations go in the EXACT place they were the year before.

Can't wait to see your pics!!!

I hope Izzy feels better soon.

I do love Christmas lights and decor...and music...and baking...and usually even the shopping. This year is different...with all our packing and unpacking (still working on the unpacking)...I'm dreading the whole unpacking, setting up, and repacking of Christmas. Trying to get myself motivated and just. do. it. :)
Praying for Izzy...hope she gets over the stuffiness quickly.

I feel the same way. It's a pain to get it all out, but it's so homey. I hate to take it down after Christmas--eveyrthing looks bare!
