week in review

This week has been a blur... Izzy hasn't slept very well the past few nights, so as a result... neither have I ;o). Monday must have been pretty mundane, because I can't remember anything interesting... Tuesday we spent the evening at the ball field watching Emelia's games... Wednesday I cleaned out my closet, and kept Iz home from school (mental health day)... Thursday felt like Friday, ALL DAY... and then Friday was a busy busy day. We went to Bear, then school, I ate at panera with my brother ... and then had dinner out with mom and dad. Saturday we stayed in all day! Had chinese carryout for dinner and leftovers after church today! Love that. Church was good today. I missed tonight for dinner at mom & dad's. It is my daddy's birthday! We had grilled steak, huge homemade hot rolls, fresh corn on the cob, pasta salad, salad, blackberry cobbler, and cake. It was good! (I didn't eat the cobbler because fruit is yucky!)

Thanks for your outpouring of love & prayers for Izzy this week.

Tonight I just can't seem to compose my thoughts in an articulate way, not that I ever do...really... but, I am very thankful for you. I love reading your posts, it's truly like visiting you each individually. If I don't post long comments it's usually because I'm holding Izzy or feeding her while reading your blogs so I am commenting with one hand. I'm thankful for my parents, for my dad on his birthday... for my family, my sweet kiddos... for Izzy, she's such a fighter and such a miracle. I'm thankful for God's love that fuels my life everyday.

Glad you had a good week! I'm sorry Izzy hasn't slept well...for her sake and yours. It has been hard for me since I've had kids to deal with the lack of sleep thing. I don't think I've ever gotten use to that.

Happy B-day to your dad--what a great b-day dinner. BTW, fruit doesn't rank too high on my list either!:)

I hope you have a more restful week!

I STILL say I could have helped you out with that cobbler issue, but I know...the moment is gone. lol
Sorry Izzy isn't sleeping well. I don't know how you do it sometimes. My lunatic dog woke me up at 3:08 (to be precise!)Sunday morning barking at something outside. Scared me out of a solid sleep, then irritated me until my eyes were crossed. If I didn't love him so, I might have thrown his wormy little body out into the yard just to see how tough he was. I'm just not all that good without my sleep...I think Randey probably got up more with our kids when they were babies than I did. lol So, basically, the fact that you are even functioning enough to post ANYTHING - blog OR comment - while being sleep deprived, is pretty impressive to me! Hope Izzy sleeps better this week. I'll be thinking of her (and you!).

I hope you have a great week this week and I will pray that Isabelle sleeps better so you both can feel more rested. Glad you got your closet and room deep cleaned. That always feels so good! I finally got my messy yard cleaned up and pretty. Yes, I did it. The kids helped but we both know how the yard looks when kids work in it! It looks like kids took care of it. So I went out and made it look like adults live here, too. Corey is off work today to work on his shop with both dads. Love ya, julie

I am reading along and reminding my self that Izzy still needs our prayers and then I read the comment about the cobbler. I laugh. I wish I had been there to eat your fruit. I did that for my bro just younger than me as a kid. Cause I think fruit is yummy.

I heart you, Annie.

I am hoping Izzy can sleep much better this week, so that you can get some much needed rest! I love your sweet, positive attitude, even when you're sleep deprived!

Your daddy's birthday party sounded just scrumptious...I mean fun, tee hee! My hubby would have LOVED to help dispose of that cobbler! Have a beautiful day! :D

I hate that Iz isn't sleeping well - Sleep is a necessity!!! I do wish there were some game pictures of Emilia to see - Annie's on a mental health day today too- and she bust her little nose this morning!!! Girl you too funny - fruit is yucky but I just eat the cobbler part out! Happy Birthday to your Daddy!

Hello Annie,
I was checking back and forth and I was affraid you'd stop hosting Week in Review. I am glad you didn't. I will post next week end, I promise.
Days and weeks bring this and that, but the important thing is for things to be rolling Ok and for us to be satisfied at the end of the day, being happy where we are right now.
I am glad you feel that way after an OK week.
Praying for peaceful sleep.

I would have gladly eaten your share of the blackberry cobbler--that's one of my favorite things, and I've not had it in a while. Sounds like a pretty good week--sorry that Izzy isn't sleeping well. I will pray that you get just the right amount of sleep this week.

GUESS WHAT?!? I'm having that same meal tonight!! :) That's hilarious! My granny is having a b'day tomorrow. I'll be sure to think of you.
I hope that Izzy starts sleeping very soon. I've not mentioned this, but my son doesn't sleep through the night either. I'm not sure why, but I can wake up to go to the bathroom and he's in there reading. Of course, he's 13, and my presence is required alot, but what is it about our kids not sleeping?

Hey Annie,

I will be praying that Izzy will start to sleep better. Do you have any idea why she is having problems sleeping?
I too need a day to clean out my closet. But this week is full of appointments, not only for Luke but myself and one for Natalie and Isaiah.
I can relate to writing with one hand, unless it's late at night I too have a child in my arms.

Love in Christ,
Sue
