a bloggy meeting ... and eggrolls

Guess what?

I met a blogger! Her name is Rachel. She lives in Missouri. She mentioned driving through Oklahoma on vacation so we decided to meet. Today was the day and both our schedules were a little crazy, but we were determined to 'make it happen.' (I feel very Tim Gunn saying that). Anyway, she is so sweet! Even sweeter & cuter in person. Her hubbie is also adorable as are her four little children. We were both on a pretty tight schedule, but we chatted as much as possible. She brought Izzy a barbie Rapunzel dvd, so sweet and brought me a sweet gift basket. Thank you so much Rachel! I'm so glad we were able to cross paths! You can see in the picture of us standing up how much taller I am than her!

As we were leaving her oldest daughter got her sweet little hand caught in the door of McDonalds and really pinched her fingers, breaking the skin. UGH. I felt so sorry for her. I know it hurt really bad.

On another note...

I made egg rolls. They look just like the egg rolls at the Chinese restaurant. I was very proud.

I wish you could share those egg rolls with me. I love them, but I am pretty picky about them. How fun to meet Rachel--I'm from Missouri too. She would have to be a really great person! ;)

Hmmm - those egg rolls look delicious and I'm also proud of you. I love when things I make turn out exactly like the restaurant (or better) :)

I made some butternut and spinach muffins once that SERIOUSLY were much more gorgeous than the picture - even Dion was impressed. And he doesn't get excited about beautiful food like I do...

How lovely for you guys to meet. I've still only met one blogger in real life.

And your previous post with Izzy and her BFF is SOOO cute. My heart just melted...

BTW, I love the colour of that top you're wearing and I'm thinking you probably blow dry your hair straight to make it longer, don't you? :)

I'm sure you would also tower above me like that as I'm only 1.58m (whatever that is over there).

Okay, bye!!!

I've compared the two blogs line by line and they are the same, code wise, so I'm stumped again. I'm going to send the code to a web designer client and see what she says because I am all out of ideas!

I'm so glad you got to meet a blogging buddy. You know, this just has me thinking how heaven will be one day when we all get there. We will know each other, but we'll have a "history" together before we ever get there: blogging!
I still want to meet as many as I can while I'm alive, but I know that one day, we'll have a huge party of our blogging circle!

What FUN to meet bloggie friends - NOTHING would be more exciting than if you, Elizabeth, Jennisa, Terri and Kim rolled through South Carolina - I NEVER leave - unless it's football or market for work!!!

It looks sooo fun!

You made eggrolls from scratch? I'm in awe of you! I don't suppose you'd post your recipe?

How nice to have a bloggy meeting in real life. Except for the child's poor fingers, it sounds like it was a really nice meeting. And yes, my dear, you TOWER over her! LOL

Nevermind. LOL Thanks for the heads up that you posted the link to the egg rolls.

Yeah! I'm finally home again. It's late and I'm going to bed but I wanted to drop a quick line to say that I had so much fun meeting you. You are even more awesome in person than the bloggyworld (is that even possible?) ;-)) I am so happy to be your bloggy friend.
I was very concerned about Jess' fingers, but with a lot of prayer and kisses and a tylenol(plus 3 hours of sleep) she is great!! No broken fingers and with God's help she also has NO signs of it even having happened....YEAH! She is my most sweetest and DRAMATIC little ones and I hate when things happen to her, but God knows this too..doesn't HE!
Love you
Rachel and Family
Take care!
P.S. I finally got to watch Facing the Giants and it was great...I finally know that song that plays on your blog now.
